Music Festival 2024 at University of Home Economics, Lahore
On 3rd October 2024, the University of Home Economics (UHE), Lahore, hosted an exhilarating Music Festival, bringing together musical talent from six different universities. Organized by the UHE Music Society under the Fine Arts Department, the event served as a platform for both group and solo performances, creating a lively atmosphere of creativity and competition.
The festival, which consisted of two rounds, featured four bands and twelve individual participants. The performances were evaluated by six professional experts, invited to ensure transparency in the judging process. This added a layer of professionalism and fairness to the competition, elevating the experience for both participants and the audience.
Dr. Munazza Rashid, Assistant Professor and convener of the event, led the festival, while Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Vice Chancellor of UHE, graced the occasion as the guest of honor. The hard work and collaboration of the entire Fine Arts Department, including Dr. Samina Zaheer, Head of the Department and co-convener of the Music Society, ensured the event’s success.
Winners of the competition were awarded trophies and cash prizes, recognizing their musical prowess and dedication. This festival stands as a reflection of UHE’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent and fostering an environment of cultural exchange.
