UHE Participates in Inter-Universities Theater Competition
The Students of University of Home Economics from Drama, Music and Festivals Society recently performed a play titled “خواب مرتے Ù†Ûیں”at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) in Inter-University Theatre Competition.
The play was written by Ms. Maryam Hameeda & directed by Ms. Atika Masood.
The play خواب مرتے Ù†Ûیں tells the hetfelt story of a young woman who defies societal expectations to make a difference in the lives of others. Despite being denied the opportunity to pursue her own professional education, she finds purpose in empowering others, helping them access quality education and break free from the shackles of societal norms.
The competition was judged by Mr. Haseeb Khan & Mr. Fazal A. Faizi. The team received a well-deserved recognition for their hard work and creativity, winning the Best Costume Award at the event.
The following students proformed in the play : Zaha Farukh, Adeen Aamir Qureshi, Tuba Fatima, Manal Sohail, Gonal Shahid, Faiqa Amjad, Mahin Khuwaja, Saman Iqbal, Unzila Afrooz, Amal Fatima, Hajra Faisal, Minahil Farooq, and Areen Aamir.
