Empowering Women: Insights from the Seminar on Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls at UHE
An awareness seminar on the Elimination of violence against women and girls was organized at UHE by LUMS Law School and UN women in collaboration with Women Development Center, UHE.
This collaboration was facilitated by Dr. Faryal Abdullah. The Seminar pointed out the need to understand laws that seek to give justice and rights to women.
Furthermore, they informed the audience about the services being provided by different governmental and non governmental organizations to ensure woman safety.
Prof. Dr.Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, VC UHE appreciated the joint efforts of LUMS law department and UN Women.
Dr. Kazmi welcomed the academic and research collaborations with LUMS. She distributed shields among guest speakers.
Dr. Iram Rubab Director Student Affairs, faculty members and students attended the seminar.
